If you are on the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) and you are taking a medical leave of absence at least 31 days after the start of the policy (August 12, 2022), you will remain enrolled in the SHIP plan until the end of the plan year (August 11, 2023).The University may place a student on Involuntary Medical Leave for the following reasons: A student is deemed to be a danger or a threat to the safety, health, or well-being to himself/herself or others. A student has significant health concerns and/or accompanying behavior that are disrupting the educational experience of others.
